I became a licensed realtor 3 years after the housing crash of 2008, a market that was still roughly 60% foreclosures and short sales. But looking back, it was the best possible time to get started in the business. It showed me how crucial every single detail is in the sales process, what is most important to my clients when selling their home, how to keep their home ahead of the competition, and how to keep them best protected in a contract with a buyer. All of that hard work has continued to pay off, and now the majority of my business comes from referrals from satisfied past customers of mine. Satisfied customers will tell their friends and their family, and I want to be the person they call when they decide to sell their current home, or purchase their next home.
